Transit-Oriented Lifestyle in the City of Firsts
Various developments in Metro Manila have integrated shopping, leisure, business, and residences into one community. But undeniably, no other estate is as “transit-oriented” or commuter-friendly as the Araneta City, dubbed as the “City of Firsts” due to its pioneering innovations, putting a premium on mobility and connectivity for the benefit of shoppers, workers, visitors, and its privileged residents.
Being at the crossroads of two major mass transit systems, the MRT-3 from north to south and the LRT-2 from east to west, Araneta City is the perfect jump-off point for any urban professionals and students who always want to be on top of their game. Aside from the two train lines’ existing link to LRT-1, everyone is also looking forward to the nearing completion of MRT-7, which will be linked to MRT-3 and the LRT-2 East Extension. The future connections to the MRT-4 reaching some municipalities of Rizal and the very promising first-ever subway in the Philippines, which will have a transfer link from LRT-2, are likewise highly anticipated—and that brings an expansive commuter transport network to and from the Araneta City.
Countless Transportation Options
On top of these railways, there are also numerous city buses traversing Araneta City along EDSA. Within its community, the Araneta Bus Station along Times Square Avenue hosting several provincial buses, the modernized jeepneys called “Beep Jeep” with routes to various cities, and the “UBE Express” point-to-point wifi-enabled buses going to Ninoy Aquino International Airport. The renowned ultra-modern Araneta Bus Port at the ground level of Manhattan Heights across Ali Mall is where you can comfortably ride business-class buses going to South Luzon and Bicol Region, as well as some tourist destinations such as Boracay thru RORO buses.
There are also convenient terminals and pick-up/drop-off points for traditional PUJ’s along P. Tuazon Boulevard, Gen. Romulo Avenue, and Telus Arcade. You can also take FX or UV Express rides beside Farmers Plaza or Gateway Mall along Aurora Boulevard, going to many destinations in the East, such as Marikina, Antipolo City, and other municipalities in the province of Rizal.
Free rides are also offered to shoppers, especially for senior citizens, pregnant women, and specially-abled persons, thru E-Shuttles between Ali Mall and Gateway Mall. GrabCar pick-up points and Taxi Stands are also situated in strategic spots all around Araneta City.
Due to the on-going pandemic, certain limitations and safety protocols are strictly implemented. Each public transport will only accommodate the maximum allowable capacity as prescribed by the government. Commuters must wear face mask and face shield, undergo temperature checks, sanitize their hands, and maintain social distance. Constant sanitation and disinfection are also done in these vehicles, all for the riding public's safety.
Live in Mobility and Accessibility
As we stay united in the fight against COVID-19, we look forward that someday soon, everything will go back to the normal we used to know. Should that happen, the first ones to truly enjoy the benefits of these countless transportation options are the residents of Manhattan Gardens at Araneta City.
Envisioned as the first TOD or Transit-Oriented Development in the Philippines, Manhattan Gardens is an 18-tower high-rise residential condominium complex that has continuously reshaped the skyline of Araneta City over the past decade as part of its extreme transformation. The first two phases, Manhattan Parkway and Manhattan Parkview with three towers each, have been completely sold out. Its third phase, the four-tower Manhattan Heights, which is also now ready for occupancy, offers few remaining 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom units left, all with balconies where you can enjoy the dynamic view of the Araneta City or the calming sight of the Sierra Madre mountain range in the east side.
Its final residential block, Manhattan Plaza, is now open for sale. You can readily move-in to its Tower 1 while pre-selling units are available at Tower 2. Choose among a wide variety of residential suites, ranging from space-efficient executive studios up to more spacious 1-to-2-bedroom homes.
All towers have retail arcades at the ground level, so you can easily dine and grab your daily necessities. You may also indulge in world-class amenities and recreational facilities, all found at the development's 4th level. The four residential phases will also have interconnecting footbridges and walkways, leading to the transportation hubs within Araneta City, making riding more convenient for its residents.
